Peter Killcommons earned his M.D. degree in 1984 from New York Medical College and currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Medweb, a San Francisco-based telemedicine company that serves clients all over the world. Aside from offering technological solutions for sharing medical data among providers, Killcommons’ company maintains a strong focus on helping communities in need, both stateside and abroad.

Combining forces with the Synergy Strike Force and the La Jolla Golden Triangle Rotary Club, Peter Killcommons has visited Afghanistan three times. During those humanitarian trips, Killcommons helped set up a Medweb Deployable Telemedicine Clinic, supported the Pens for Peace project, trained local doctors, installed medical equipment, and worked with hospitals in Kabul and Jalalabad. Killcommons has additionally donated his time and medical equipment to other areas of the world, including Antigua, Pakistan, Peru, Haiti, and Honduras. Peter Killcommons has visited Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kuwait to ensure the needs of the troops were being met. In the United States, Killcommons and Medweb have participated in disaster relief efforts after Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and the San Diego wildfires in 2007. 

A sought-after expert in the field of telemedicine, Peter Killcommons has spoken at professional conferences around the world, including the 4th Balkan Telemedicine Conference in Podgorica, Montenegro, and the First Armenian International Telemedicine Congress in Yerevan, Armenia. At the Armenian conference, Killcommons spoke about his experience of implementing Medweb telemedicine technology during his time in eastern Afghanistan, and he also donated a Medweb system to the Armenian Telemedicine Association to help them better serve their community with modern medical care. 

Peter Killcommons is a member of numerous professional, philanthropic, and social organizations, including the American Telemedicine Association, American Medical Association, Catholic Charities, Rotary International, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, Experimental Aircraft Association, South Beach Yacht Club, Alameda Flying Club, City College Alumni Association, UCSF Alumni Association, Chaminade Alumni Association, and New York Medical College Alumni Association.
